Mirabilia Winter Queen Completed !!

Started this October 2018, she is one that I always wanted to do as my favourite colours are blue and white.  It took awhile as I stitched her on White 32 count linen.  I began to hate it as stitching white on white was hard especially on the finer count, but I continued on and now absolutely love her.  I switched the wisper thread which I felt was more yellow and was also scared from other comments from stitches that it goes yellower over time, and did not like stitching it, so unpicked and stitched the fur trim with Rainbow Gallery fuzzy stuff, F226 antique white for a softer look.  Not sure what next as I have all four queens in my possession and various other mirabilia's are calling out as well as other designers.  I always want to stitch small ones but then end up choosing big ones that take more time, and I try not to have two on the go as I end up with WIPS and no finishes.

Flu Season and lack of stitching

Well so much for a flu jab.  Have been sick twice so far, got the flu last week, the whole household apart from my hubby full of it.  Loaded up with cough and cold medications, and lots of fluids.

Haven't felt like stitching lately, am nearly finished my current project Mirabilia Winter Queen, am loving stitching with Rainbow Gallery fuzzy stuff rather than wisper thread.  I love the sparkle of it giving it an extra dimension.  I have just a little bit more beading and stitching of fuzzy stuff  to go but here is a little bit of it for you to see.

Mary Beale Days of Advent Sampler WIP

Started with a bang, many years ago, but lost interest, but still completing one a year, 26 squares, hopefully I will gain my interest back, but too busy stitching other projects.

Shepherds Bush Stockings

Love these patterns, still have a few to go to stitch.
Jeremiah Junction - Country Bloomers

Done on Aida in my early years.

Barbara and Cheryl - Church Street

This took me months as this was stitched on 28 count Adia, a massive piece.  loved all the intricate gates backstitch.

LHN - Home of a Needleworker

One of my earlier ones.

loved this one as I lived in England when I was younger and this pattern reminded me of the cottages that I visited.
Larnate coffee and Tea Samplers

These two samplers were one of my first stitching's and first working on linen which now I only stitch on.
Over the Hill Sampler

This was a joy to stitch, loved the different aspects of this sampler, I still have another one of Brenda Keyes patterns to stitch that I want to stitch to make it a pair and framed the same.
Wish list

 Mirabilia - Tree of Hope

This was a special one for me to stitch, as I was going through chemotherapy for breast cancer at the time.  I loved the beading.
Mirabilia - Villa Mirabilia

This was my favorite Mira, was so pleased to find this pattern and it was a joy to stitch.  I filled in the urn as in the pattern it was left unstitched but I preferred it to be filled mainly due to the fabric I used.

Little House Needleworks - Colonial Dry Goods : loved stitching this one, love the pioneer time. Sometimes I think it would be romantic to live in this period because of how simple life was then compared to the stresses of today

I would like to welcome you to my new blog.  I am quite new to blogging, but I thought might as well give it a go again, as the last time I ended up deleting it as too much was going on in my life.

Cross stitch is my love, my husband would say it is my addiction.  My favorite designers are Mary Beale, Mirabilia, LHN, The Sampler Company, Nora Corbett and Carriage House Samplings to name a few.

I thought that I would start my blog by adding photos of my finishes over the years. Enjoy
